On February 4, 2026, the Andhra Pradesh Police Department marked a monumental milestone in law enforcement by launching the pilot phase of Project AI4AP Police. The seeds of this project were sown during the AI4 Andhra Police Hackathon in June 2025. This nationwide event brought together over 200 innovators to solve real-world policing challenges.

To bring these winning prototypes to life, the department partnered with:

• Knowledge Partner: Shri Surya Kotha, CEO of U.S.-based Generative AI firm 4sightAI, to build the world's first Police Large Language Model (Police-LLM).

• Technology Partner: M/s Sparity, through a formal MoU for co-development and implementation.

The project integrates eight specialized AI modules into a unified engineering framework, integrated with the existing CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems) infrastructure.

1. Petition AI: Streamlines grievance redressal by automatically converting voice or text narrations from victims into structured digital petitions.

2. Digital Evidence AI: Ensures legal compliance by systematically storing and managing case-related files to remain admissible in court.

3. CognitiveNet AI: Analyzes massive datasets (FIRs, CCTV, crime records) to identify patterns and linkages invisible to the human eye.

4. Investigation Co-Pilot: An AI assistant that guides officers through legal procedures, drafting case diaries, and preparing charge sheets.

5. Docs2Data: Digitizes paper-based records like memos and leave applications, automating personnel record management.

6. SocInt AI: Monitors social media for potential law-and-order threats, providing early warnings for suspicious activities.

7. News360 AI: Tracks media coverage in real-time to alert officials about critical news reports related to policing.

8. AI Foundation: The core platform that ensures data security, system performance, and seamless integration of all tools.
